1. Q: Can I change the name of
the participants registered?
A:
The last date of name submission was Feb 16th. Due to the general rules, if you
really need to change the name listed, it will be allowed under unexpected and reasonable
circumstances.
2. Q: For NEWSCASTING
competition, will the participants use teleprompter?
A:
Teleprompter will not be used on the NEWSCASTING competition. The participants
will use printed text as the media to read the news.
3. Q: How many microphones
available for DRAMA competition?
A:
First, we’re sorry for the change on the rules of DRAMA competition. There will
be five microphones available (5 clip-on and 2 wireless). We have made sure
that all of them are in good condition.
4. Q: For STORY TELLING
competition, PRELIMINARY ROUND, can we change the story of “The Great
Inventors”, even only a part of it?
A:
It’s better for you to tell the original story. If you really need to change
some details, make sure it will not influence the whole story or change the
important content and message of the story.
5. Q: (from the DEBATE
competition, not the real question) Regarding the motion: THW Ban Smoking in
Indonesia; what is the meaning of ‘ban’? What form of ‘ban’ is meant in the
motion? Why in Indonesia?
A:
‘Ban’ is to prohibit / stop something to happen. We couldn’t give you the exact
and complete answer for your other questions because the answers to these
questions are actually the ones expected to be brought in your debate later.
Our suggestion is, try to do a research about this motion by typing some words
from the motion in the search engine, and start building your simple case.
The
questions about motions that will be kindly answered by the CA and DCAs are
questions about word definition that you might not know because perhaps the
word(s) are rarely used.
