GENERAL RULES


General Rules of English Competition Days 2013
1.    The participants eligible to join ECD 2013 are Senior High School students grade X-XII (proven by the student card endorsed by each school when registering).
2.    The number of representatives from each school is maximum 2 (two) persons / teams for each competition, except for the Drama competition (maximum 1 group).
3.     The registration is done by filling in the online registration form in the ECD’s website: ecd2013.blogspot.com
4.     The registration is opened from Jan 15th – Feb 15th, 2013 and the committee must receive the online registration form within this date. (please pay extra attention to the registration method of Debate competition)
5.      In this phase, you don’t have to submit the name of the participants; just submit the number of participants you want to register. This new procedure is created for the teachers that haven’t decided the exact people / representatives of their school but want their students to join ECD (perhaps the teachers are in the process of auditioning) so that they can still register to the 2013 ECD.
6.      You must give the fixed names of the participants within Feb. 11th – 16th (means that if you still want to change the participant(s), you can do so only until Feb.16th – later than that, the name changing will not be allowed except under unexpected and reasonable circumstances)
7.    Should you have any problem in submitting the registration form online, you can submit the registration form:
a.    by sending it to the Faculty of Language and Literature of SWCU’s fax number: (0298) 312120
b.    by mailing it to Jl. Cungkup No. 413 – Salatiga 50721
c.    by sending it to ECD’s email address: ecd2013@yahoo.com
d.    or by coming directly to the Faculty of Language and Literature of SWCU on the 5th floor at F building, Diponegoro st. no. 52-60, Salatiga.
8.    The participants must pay the registration fee for each competition.
a.    Debate                            ( Rp. 250.000,00 / team )*
b.    News Casting                  ( Rp. 130.000,00 / person )*
c.    Story Telling          ( Rp. 120.000,00 / person )*
d.    Drama                            ( Rp. 350.000,00 / team )*
e.    Speech                            ( Rp. 120.000,00 / person )*
 ( * Registration fee covers: snack and lunch during the D-day(s); co-card; booklet; and certificate.
The registration fee  does not cover: the cost of accommodation and transport. The registration fee is not refundable. )

9.     If the participants are accompanied by teacher(s) or other supervisor(s), the committee will provide them lunch with additional fee Rp 10.000,00 / person (only for the first day). If you want to do this option, please do so in the online registration form. With all respect, this rule will be strictly applied, so pay attention carefully to this issue.
10.  Register as soon as possible when the registration is opened to avoid the full quota.
11. The specific rules about competitions in English Competition Days 2013 will be explained in the different sheets.

Please pay attention to the registration fee payment method below (only for News Casting, Story Telling, Drama, and Speech competitions):

1.    Please transfer the registration fee to: Bank Jateng ( 3033020452 ) a. n. (Winda Hapsari Fitri) or Danamon ( 003544424793 ) a. n. Happy Widesti and send the transfer receipt to our e-mail address: ecd2013@yahoo.com right after you submit the (online) registration form. (mention the name of the school, the competition(s) joined, and the no.of participant(s) who join(s) the competition(s))
2.    The failure to transfer the registration fee and send the transfer receipt within the registration date will cause you not listed in the ECD’s list of participants.


The Registration Method for Debate Competition:
1.   One school can send maximum 2 representatives (e. g. : team A & team B)
2.   Team A will be put in the main list; team B will be put in the waiting list.
3.   The inclusion of teams in the main list is based on the first come first served basis.
4.   Example: The registration will be opened on X (date) at 12 midnight. On X and at 12.01, SMA Y becomes the first to register its Team A & B, so Team A from SMA Y will be number one in the main list, and Team B from SMA Y will be number one in the waiting list.
5.   The 1st round of registration should be done by accessing ECD’s website ecd2013.blogspot.com on Jan 15th – Feb 8th, 2013
6.   Register as soon as possible when the registration is opened to avoid the full quota in the main list.
7.   In this phase, you don’t have to submit the name of the debaters; just submit the number of teams you want to register.
8.   You will receive the notification from the committee informing whether you are registered in the main list or waiting list.
9.   Once you are registered in the main list, you must transfer the registration fee in two days to the committee’s bank account. If this is not done, your slot in the main list will be given to the one in the waiting list. The registration fee is not refundable.
10.        The registration forms that the committee will accept will be only those which are submitted after 00.00 on Jan 15th (00.01) and before 23.59 on Feb.8th.
11.        After Feb 8th, if the quota for 24 groups in the main list is not fulfilled yet, the group(s) in the waiting list may move to the main list.
12.        The one(s) from the waiting list will be put in the main list based on the first-come first-served basis. Based on the previous example (point no.4), Team B from SMA Y will be the first to move to the main list.
13.        On Feb.9th, the committee then will notify those who just move to the main list to pay the registration fee.
14.        The deadline for the debaters’ name submission will be on Feb 16th in the ECD’s website.
15.        Make sure you note down any dates given related to the registration process.
