REGISTRATION TO ECD2013 IS EXTENDED UNTIL NEXT WEDNESDAY,
FEBRUARY 20TH


It is a great pleasure for us to inform you that Satya Wacana Christian University, as the hosting institution, and the Student Body of the Faculty of Language and Literature, as the organizing committee, will hold the 2013 English Competition Days (ECD) on February 23rd – 24th, 2013 in Salatiga, Central Java. Therefore, we welcome all high school students from Salatiga, Semarang, Solo, Jogjakarta, and other surrounding cities to participate in the 6th ECD.

Starting in 2007, the Faculty of Language and Literature together with its Student Body has always been successful in organizing this Joglosemar-level competition. With the purpose of making high school students learn English through joining English competitions, ECD always tries to develop from year to year.

This year, besides developing some new systems so that the participants will compete in the highest sense of fairness and originality, we also expand the scope of ECD to Central Java and D. I. Yogyakarta area to bring your competitiveness to a new level. In competing in the five ECD competitions: Debate, News Casting, Story Telling, Drama, and Speech competitions, the participants will feel a challenging learning atmosphere supported by high-quality judges and a trustworthy committee.

With the theme “I’m Thankful because I Speak English”, the 2013 ECD strives to encourage high school students to prove that speaking English does bring benefits and that they can speak English in the appropriate time and place.

We are looking forward to your participation in the 2013 ECD. The details of the competition rules and registration method can be found in this blog; please read them carefully since they will show you what to do in order to join and compete in ECD 2013. J
